It is the essence of life as we know it, so a driving force of the economy in its broadest sense. Aware of this fact, Eurmoda Group considers its wastewater treatment plants for electroplating as key elements for the company\u2019s sustainable development. As a consequence, we have invested in the implementation of systems that can meet these needs. <\/p>\n\n<p>Today, modern electroplating companies are equipped with a wastewater recycling plant by design. The efficiency of the systems employed in the Group\u2019s plant in Treviso enables us to satisfy our daily needs and large-scale production, saving nearly 220.000 litres of water each year. Huge amounts need huge machinery. How does this type of plant work? Why is it so important? <\/p>\n\n<p>The system could be described as semi-automatic, since users decide which path liquids have to take according to the type of bath users choose. However, electroplating wastewater treatment acts on cyanides and other chemical substances contained in the baths, balancing and neutralising these elements.  The plant is composed of two different containment tanks, one for acid and the other one for alkali. Before reaching the filtration stage, water passes through a filter press, namely a jaw system collecting the solid part. Then, the material is stored inside large recipients which can contain thousands of litres.   Through a physical-chemical process repeated several times during which acid, i.e. hypochlorite and sodium carbonate, are dosed, water is distilled. Inside the distiller, water is put in a tank where it is possible to extract a salt-free product employing some evaporators. The system performs physical-mechanical treatments through carbon absorbers further streamlining the process.
